CIEH Manifesto: Building healthier futures together

Following the announcement of a general election on 4 July, we are proud to present our Manifesto for environmental health.

Cover of the Manifesto for environmental health 2024This manifesto aims to place environmental health at the forefront of the agenda for the election. It represents our commitment to highlighting the vital contributions of environmental health professionals and advocates for the policies needed to support their work. It was developed in close collaboration with our advisory panels and reflects their ongoing policy development work, campaigns and strategic priorities.

We hope the manifesto will serve as a powerful instrument in promoting environmental health and achieving our vision of a safer, cleaner, healthier environment for all.

We have also produced a one-page summary of the manifesto, which highlights our key asks in a concise and easily digestible format.

CIEH members can get involved in our campaign by writing to parliamentary candidates standing in your constituency using our letter template. Urge them to sign up to CIEH's pledge campaign and support our vision of a safer, cleaner, healthier environment for all. Find out which candidates are standing in your area.
