Since first opening our doors as a conference and events venue back in 2008, 15Hatfields has been at the forefront of sustainability in the UK events industry. Whether it's serving locally sourced and organic food or having our reception desk made from recycled fabric conditioner bottles, we have actively sought opportunities to reduce unnecessary waste and make a positive contribution to improving the state of our planet and environment. Our work with the #OneLess bottle campaign and our General Manager Warren Campbell’s appointment as sustainability ambassador for the Meeting Industry Association (MIA), are examples of how we have continued to ensure that sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. In 2019 we took our commitment to sustainability even further with our Make Plastic History campaign and commitment to eliminating our use of all single-use plastic. We tasked ourselves with identifying and eradicating all single-use plastic, not only from the venue itself but also across our entire supply chain. As part of the campaign, we shared our experiences and the challenges we encountered, and hope that they will inspire you to consider opportunities for you to reduce your use of single-use plastic too.
