15Hatfields has scooped the first Platinum ECOsmart Venue Award for 2021, thanks to our 'outstanding approach' to environmental sustainability standards.

Following a rigorous accreditation process, our venue impressed judges at Greengage Travel and Event Solutions with its extensive sustainability initiatives in five key areas; energy and water conservation, waste management and recycling, rooms and facilities, food and beverage and corporate and social responsibility.

This latest industry accreditation follows another year of 15Hatfields' pioneering sustainability projects, including the launch of our new online DDR to balance affordability and sustainability for hybrid events.

Last year our Make Plastic History campaign saw the removal of all single-use plastic from the venue, saving tens of thousands of plastic food packaging items being thrown away in just one year alone. Energy-saving techniques such as rooftop solar panels, LED lightbulbs, and 100% renewable electricity sources also contribute to our eco-credentials, while non-recyclable rubbish is sent to TerraCycle, and food waste is eliminated via our catering partner.
