Overview

The FSA Local Authority Resource Project was set up in November 23 following the publication of the Capability and Capacity research Local Authority Capacity and Capability: Executive Summary | Food Standards Agency. Part of our core offer includes improving our learning and development offer for Local Authorities.

We are using this event to engage with and gather local authorities’ thoughts, and ideas on what our LA training budget for the period April 24 to March 25 could be spent on to best support LAs with capacity and capability issues highlighted in our research.

The event is also an opportunity for collective input to influence the direction of future training programs for local authorities in England.

The team will also provide an update of the training already delivered based on the training needs analysis completed in May 2022, and an outline of areas we are looking at in the project.
