The London Food Co-ordinating Group

The London Food Co-ordinating Group (LFCG) is a specialist technical group of the Association of London Environmental Health Managers (ALEHM).

Its aim is to assist officers who inspect food establishments and coordinate food enforcement work across the 32 London Boroughs and the City of London Corporation.

The LFCG is organised by Sectors geographically (NE, NW, SE, and SW Sectors) and it meets about every two to three months. These meetings are also attended by representatives of the Food Standards Agency, National Food Crime Unit, Public Health England and the Public Analyst. In addition, the Sectors hold their own regular meetings. The current Chair of the LFCG is Peter Scott, Food Safety Divisional Manager, London Borough of Havering. Minutes of its meetings are posted on the Knowledge Hub.

Also on the Knowledge Hub can be found guidance on food hygiene and other related laws which may be of use to officers.
