High-profile speakers confimed for CIEH National Conference

As we eagerly countdown the days till the start of the 115th CIEH National Conference, we are pleased to announce that we will be welcoming several high-profile speakers to present at this year’s event.

High-profile speakers that are down to speak on the programme are from a variety of prominent organisations including:

  • Professor Selena Gray, Professor of Public Health at the University of the West of England

Furthermore, we will be welcoming The Rt. Hon. Sir Kevin Barron MP, who will be giving the keynote address at the start of the conference, as well as Lord Rooker PC, former Chairman of the Food Standards Agency.

The National Conference is taking place between 20 and 21 October and will be held at the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre and Orchard Hotel in Nottingham.

The foremost environmental health event of the year, the National Conference brings together more than 50 experts and leading professionals who will be delivering information and guidance, as well as provoking discussion on a range of current topics within the world of environmental health.

The first day of the Conference will have a focus on ‘Supporting business and economic growth’ and the second day will be looking at ‘Healthier environments and communities’.

The National Conference also offers delegates the opportunity to network and engage with their peers and see how they handle issues in different regions, debate strategy and policy with key decision makers, as well as being able to gain an insight into current services and products on the market.

New additions for 2015 include a state-of-the-art exhibition, parallel debating forums and the launch of the Housing and Health resource.
